A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is available, but we prefer the slick-shifting six-speed stick. It's also capable of long-distance drives and daily commuting, and the cabin has enough convenience features and connectivity tech. All this makes the 911 GT3 a dual-purpose car that a serious enthusiast driver could conceivably justify driving every day, as well as at weekend track days. At our test track, the GT3 automatic managed a 2.7-second 60-mph time while the six-speed manual test vehicle snapped off a 3.3-second run to 60 mph.
