Unlike its soft-road capable rivals, the Grand Cherokee is a true Jeep that can tackle the most challenging trails in North America. Despite this capability, it doesn't punish passengers with an unrefined highway ride or require you to compromise on luxury features. The range-topping Summit is a leather-lined luxo-ute. Buyers looking to maximize the Grand Cherokee's off-road prowess will order up their version with all-wheel drive. Jeep has made a number of enhancements to the 2019 Grand Cherokee lineup, including the standardization of blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert across the board. The optional infotainment system now comes standard with navigation and a new 8.4-inch glass touchscreen with a crisper resolution. Jeep's excellent infotainment system, called Uconnect, is among our favorites for its ease of use and snappy response times. The Grand Cherokee has plenty of interior space with generous headroom and legroom in all four major seating positions. It also has a commanding driving position, good visibility and relatively simple controls. Despite that high seating position, everything is within the driver's reach thanks to an impressive range of seat and steering-wheel adjustability. The 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee is as impressive in its luxury as it is in its capability.
